Running-in lubricant for open drives
Description
Klüberfluid B-F1 ULTRA is a runningin
lubricant especially developed for
splash or circulation lubrication. It
has a mineral base oil and contains
aluminum stearate as a soap
thickener. Other additives and the
addition of special graphite ensure
controlled running-in of new tooth
flanks or smoothening of damaged
tooth flanks, with the undamaged
flanks being protected at the same
time. The wear effect decreases as
the operating time increases.
Klüberfluid B-F 1 ULTRA is a non-
Newtonian fluid free from bitumen,
solvents, heavy metals and chlorine.
In accordance with AGMA 251.02
Klüberfluid B-F 1 ULTRA is classified
among the "Special Compounds"
(para 3,4). The specifications of
Table 6, "Extreme Pressure Gear
Lubricants" are fully met.
Application
Klüberfluid B-F 1 ULTRA is used in
the splash, paddle wheel or circulation
lubrication of open gears for
running-in lubrication or for flank
correction purposes.
The application possibilities are
restricted neither by the component’s
size nor the capacity of the
drives. The peripheral speed should
not be more than 8.5 m/s. Such
drives are mainly installed in rotary
kilns, tube mills, and machines used
in the cement, lime, gypsum, mining
and chemical industries. Klüberfluid
B-F 1 ULTRA is not suitable for the
lubrication of bearings (rolling or
sliding bearings).
Application notes
For splash lubrication Klüberfluid
B-F 1 ULTRA is filled into the oil
bath and is thus transferred directly
to the tooth flanks.
With the Klübermatic PA circulation
lubrication system, the lubricant is
directly sprayed onto the tooth
flanks.
