Details: The evaluation of the reasons of disturbances reports from Vogel central lubrication systems used in DMG machines has shown that errors can be caused by not filling the systems properly; filling is done too late (too much air gets into the piping system); too much air is filled in together with the grease; the grease boxes are dirty, dirt gets inside the boxes; and not approved greases (not liquid enough) are used. Due to the difficult access to the grease boxes mounted on the machines and because of dirt getting inside when filling them, Zeller+Gmelin has developed a new applicant-friendly plastic tube for refilling.
